 Register for any camp session before 2/28 to get the Early Bird Discount. 
 
 
 
Friends of Tryon Creek Nature Day Camp aims to inspire and nurture relationships with nature by creating experiences rooted in belonging, curiosity, and exploration. Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where campers cultivate ecological and cultural understanding while building life-long friendships in our unique, urban forest. Nature Day Camps balance camp traditions like songs, skits, hikes, crafts, and games with hands-on field studies designed to enhance science education and connection to the natural world.
 
We are excited to offer ten action-packed weeks of Summer Camp, plus Spring Break and In-service Day Camps:
 
Half-Day Camp– Ages 5 to 6 (K–1st) – 9am-1pm
Full-Day Camp– Ages 5 to 12 (1st–6th) 9am-3pm
Counselor in Training (CIT)– Ages 12 to 14 (6th–9th) 9am-3pm
Wilderness Explorer Training (WET)– Ages 12 to 14 (6th–9th) 9am-3pm
In-Service Day Camps – Ages 12 to 15 (6th–9th) 9am-3pm
Extended Care Options for Full Day campers- 7:30am - 6pm
 
Friends of Tryon Creek Membership Discounts:
Nature Day Camp at Tryon Creek State Natural Area is run by Friends of Tryon Creek, a community supported non-profit. Members make camp at Tryon Creek State Natural Area possible by donating each year in support of vital operations and Friends of Tryon Creek's mission - to inspire and nurture relationships with nature in our unique, urban forest.
 
If you are interested or have the means in becoming a member at the $40 Family level (or above) not only will you be helping support our mission but you will also receive special discounted camp session pricing and other valuable membership benefits. (to qualify for the discounted camp price, the annual membership must be current through the dates of the registered camp session)
