FREE Community Day this Saturday at Oregon Historical Society - Meet President Lincoln

If you haven't visited the Oregon Historical Society, now is the time to check it out for FREE.  They have lots of fun exhibits and hands on activities for kids.

Actor Stephen Holgate as President Lincoln

Join us as we celebrate the opening of our two summer exhibits on the presidency and civil rights!

11 AM–3 PM:

Take a docent led tour through our new exhibits, Windows on America: The Challenges of Presidential Leadership and For All the World to See: Visual Culture and the Struggle for Civil Rights.

11:30 AM & 1:30 PM:

Meet our 16th president as actor Stephen Holgate recreates a 19th century town hall meeting as President Abraham Lincoln.

12 PM–3 PM:

Visit with civil rights activists Bob Boyer, Harvey Lee Garnett, and Donna Maxey in the For All the World to See exhibit hall.

11 AM–3 PM:

Make a Lincoln hat at the craft table, or add your artistic flair to a collage project. End the day with a bite of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, sold on the plaza by New Avenues for Youth.

Summer Fun Guide

I've been working feverishly to get the Summer Fun Guide updated.  There are some amazing and fun things happening this summer!  There is something to do each and every day!

• Explore the outdoors with Oregon Parks Let's Go Camping Program.
• Play all day with the North Clackamas Parks & Recreation Rec Mobile.

• There are specials everyday at OaksPark.
