Every year the first weekend in May is Free Comic Book Day. Comic book stores all around the country have a selection of special comics for FREE just for the asking. As a teacher, I am always interested in ways to get kids reading. Comic books have increased reading fluency for millions of boys and girls over the years.
When you stop at one of the local shops, ask if you can take an extra book to donate to your child's classroom!
