Summer Activities Start This Month!

Register for Summer camps and activities Thursday, June 11 at 9:30am.

Registration for camps and activities that are held July 27 through August 23 opens on Thursday, June 11 at 9:30am.

Tips for activity Registration.

Portland Parks & Recreation camp programs provide healthy, active, engaging, safe, and fun activities for kids from preschool through elementary school. The daily schedule is flexible, and campers are encouraged to participate in all activities. For safety, all camps have one counselor for every ten children. Counselors are on-site with current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Half day, full day, specialty, and general day camp options are available.

Register For Free Swim Lessons

Free Swim week provides free swim lessons to Portlanders of all ages and ability levels. Lessons are one week long and take place Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26. 

In person registration is Friday, June 12 from 4 to 7pm at any Portland Parks & Recreation Pool. Online registration available at 7:30pm. 

 

Free Summer Fun! 

  • Free Fitness in the Park, all parks open Monday, June 22!
    • Get moving with free group fitness classes led by your favorite PP&R instructors. Classes take place Monday through Friday and are open to all fitness levels. 
  • Summer Free for All, Lunch + Play Kick Off Event Thursday, June 25!
    • Free Lunch + Play provides free lunch, drop-in games, crafts, and recreation for youth ages 18 and under. The 2026 Summer Program will be held June 22 through August 21, 2026 | Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
  • Summer Free for All, Cultural Events Presents The East Portland Arts Festival Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12.
    •  Come down to the park and experience free movies, concerts, festivals, and special events. July 10 through August 29, 2026.

 

5K Run for the Fun of it is Sunday, June 14 at Lents Park!

Fun Run Schedule
On race day, participants can time themselves using our sports clock, and every finisher gets a ribbon!

  • 8am - Check-in and bib pick-up begins
  • 8:45am - Competitive 5K Race starts
  • 9:20am - Kids Fun Run 1K or 2K for children 8 years old and younger
  • 9:45am - All Participant 5K Fun Run starts

$5 registration fee for participants aged 18 and older. Participants younger than 18 years old run for free!
