We are excited to announce our new summer program for youth: Tryon Forest Adventures - an active full day outdoor experience for ages 7 to 12.   The program has a new focus on exploring both the forest ecology and the community that creates a unique urban park, like Tryon Creek State Natural Area.  Weekly themes include Fun with Flora, Living with Wildlife, Water is Life and Forest Community.    Sessions take place Mondays through Thursdays starting June 21st, from 9am - 4pm.     Registration opens today Saturday April 10th.    Friends of Tryon Creek is a community supported non-profit in its 51st year. Membership donations support our mission in partnership with Oregon State Parks, to inspire and nurture relationships with nature in our unique urban forest.    Current Friends of Tryon Creek Members receive a discounted $349 (regular $399) registration fee. Membership status will be confirmed after registration is complete. Craftsy is an interesting site with lots of arts and crafts classes available on their site.  They have fun courses you can take to learn all kinds of things.  They even have courses for kids.  If you have a Craftsy kid, they might enjoy it and it will keep them very busy!
