Portland Children's Museum ~ Access for All

From the Portland Children's Museum Website....

We believe that all children deserve to experience the joys of playful learning at Portland Children’s Museum. We act on this belief by providing $1 admission to any person who receives public assistance through our Access Program.

Portland Children's Museum meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but for us accessibility means more than compliance with the law of the land. We are committed to making the Museum a rich and rewarding experience for all, regardless of any specific needs they may have.
Our new Outdoor Adventure area is designed with accessibility in mind, and our staff members are always on hand to offer any assistance that may be needed. Of course, our indoor space is also designed to welcome all children.
Access Play as an event reserved for families with children experiencing disabilities, and their friends. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or feedback at 503.471.9914 or wwelsh@portlandcm.org.

Our next Access Play events are:
Tuesday, October 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, December 20, 5:30-7 p.m.
Tuesday, January 17, 5:30-7 p.m.
Adults experiencing disabilities are welcome to visit with their family members or support persons with at least a one-to-one ratio. Support persons are encouraged to call 503.471.9911 in advance
We are also very eager to hear about new ways to serve the children in our community and we welcome your feedback, suggestions, questions, or concerns. Please don't hesitate to contact us with your thoughts.
